Case Management

700 Mt. Hope Avenue, Suite 470, Bangor, Maine

Amicus provides Case Management services for adults 18 years old or older with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders who have been found eligible for DHHS MaineCare services.

Once eligibility has been established, Case Managers help assess the individual's needs for services and supports and complete applications for MaineCare waivers to secure funding for those services. MaineCare waivers cover a variety of supports for home, community and employment services. Case Managers are active members of the person-centered team. They provide education and support to help individuals and families understand these services and assist with getting them in place, as well as monitoring ongoing satisfaction with services and providers. Amicus Case Management offers complimentary Representative Payee services for the individuals we serve. Case Management is also available to assist with annual paperwork for maintaining MaineCare, Social Security, and other benefits. The "conflict-free" Case Management rule means that Case Management is required to be provided by a different agency than any other services being received by an individual to best advocate with other providers.
